About Little Lamont's

With fine-dining restaurants, a winery, bars and stores, from Perth down to the state’s South West, the Lamont family is a well-established and regarded name in WA’s hospitality world. In late 2016 it expanded its premium restaurant offering to a gourmet shop in the Swan Valley.

Chef Fiona Lamont and business partner Louise Mladineo were looking for a venture in the area for five years, considering options from food to fashion, and decided it needed a middle- to high-end food store. And that’s what they’ve created.

Ready-to-go meals are made at the Lamont’s winery five minutes away and driven up in a refrigerated van. Lamont works to the seasonality of food, meaning there is no fixed menu. Customers can expect to be able to choose from a handful of re-heatable and cold meals plus sides.

Housemade muffins, slices, doughnuts, pies and toasted sandwiches are also on offer for those wanting something on the run. You won’t just get any old ham and cheese toastie here. Expect to see changing combinations such as fried egg, cheddar, avocado and onion jam; and chicken, cheddar, cucumber, onion and pesto mayo. A Saskia Beer cheese kransky wrapped in flaky pastry is well worth buying just for the taste experience.

The morning coffee crowd is well serviced by an exclusive Silvana coffee blend from European Foods coupled with Bannister Downs milk.

On the gourmet-shop side of the operation, the shelves are stocked with items that would make for an epicurean picnic or night at home with a cheese platter.
